About Us

The creators: Doctor Doug and Bobbie Stuart.

Dr. Doug, Ph.D. in English linguistics, is a writer of songs and stories, a singer, and a performer on various folk instruments. He guides children of all ages in playful exploration of the kaleidoscopic connections of words and meanings.

Bobbie, with a Master’s Degree in arts education, is an artist, poet, and teacher who developed and now illustrates the Whistling Pig and all his friends. She is a specialist in guiding students into the realm of imagination as a tool for self-expression, and, in addition, a well-known meditation teacher.

Together they have adventured in many lands, working with language and the arts to create cultural connections. They have four children and two grandchildren, and they love to inspire everyone to be all they can imagine themselves to be.
